  Best fries ever! I have no idea what they do with their fries but I have tried fries just about everywhere else and none of them even come close to Gerard's! (Tip: Put some fries on your hot dog, you won't be disappointed!) We are regulars here and the staff knows us well. On that note, the staff is always friendly and accommodating and the food is always great!

  Cheap a**hole. One of the owners works the 'kitchen'. Reluctantly gives you an extra napkin if you ask for one, which costs about 0,02 cents. Not dollars. Cents. I spent $40 and they hesitate giving me an extra measly napkin? Are you freakin' serious? They are also slow. Seem to panic when more than 2 or 3 clients are ordering at the same time. I feel sorry for the young lady (probably the daughter) that is working the cash register. Has to put up with these guys. Young lady get out of there fast. Make your own life. Other clients have made similar comments about poor service. Food is average but not bad either. Any way the service is a zero and I will never go back. Do the cooks take showers?

  Been to my fair share of fast food diner places and all my experiences at Chez Gerard's have been a poor man's Belle Province.
  
  Got the hamburger and poutine and both left to be desired. Thin lifeless pattie squashed on the grill and tasted of disappointment. Poutine was mediocre with not enough sauce to cover it and the cheese curds still very cold. Fries tasted a bit like old oil needing a change.
  
  I have mild expectations from fast food joints and Chez Gerard didn't meet them.
  
  Pretty diner though. Clean. Service was ok.
