  Nothing compares to the excellent food and service that you'll enjoy at Amato. Great wine cellar, lovely terrace. I've been dining here on any trip I make to the Montreal area for the last 15 years. If you like exceptional Italian cuisine, you must visit here.

  If you're looking for decent tasting food I would recommend going elsewhere. It's also easy to describe the service, both positive and negative, at any restaurant but the reality is that everyone's experiences are different. Having said that, we felt quite dismissed and un-welcomed at this restaurant. Of all of our many dining experiences this would have to be among the worst we've had.

  Service was extremely long. They sat us down with no menu. Waited 5 minutes for menu. Lovely terrace. Great ambiance. The wait for the food was too long in between courses. We were told they had a new chef that evening. Food was good but pricey.
